Situated right the heart of town and sitting on 1400 sq.m, Afton House makes the perfect place for a night's (or week's) stay. Built in 1890 cira, the Victorian style, newly renovated house consists of 4 large and luxurious rooms - two upstairs and two downstairs - with one consisting of a balcony outlooking the beautiful mountains of Mudgee. Afton House has gorgeous outdoor settings while maintaining desirable modern interior and furnishings.

You can sit, relax and take in the atmosphere, while enjoyinging a fine glass of Mudgee wine and making use of the BBQ facilities. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and heated, and have widescreen HD LCD TVs and DVD/Blu-ray Players. Included in tariffs are absolutely delicious breakfast and afternoon teas at our bakery/cafe. All this will definitely not leave you disheartened.

Sorry, we do not cater for children and pets are not permitted in the house for hygiene reasons. Due to heritage trust there are no disabled facilities and ensuites but bathrooms and kitchens with full facilities are on both levels of Afton House but, who wants to cook with what Mudgee has to offer. We know the home chef wants a break, so a night in town at one of Mudgee's restaurants will do the job.
